Our Courses

The Australian Indigenous Leadership Centre (AILC) offers Australia’s leading suite of accredited Indigenous Leadership programs.

The AILC was established as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) by Indigenous leaders in 2001, with a goal of building a critical mass of Indigenous leaders across the country, capable of transforming communities and helping to close the gap.

The AILC runs accredited leadership courses in metropolitan, rural and remote Australia, with each course being sponsored by a government department, community organisation or the private sector. The AILC offers:

  • 10412NAT Certificate II in Indigenous Leadership
  • 10413NAT Certificate IV in Indigenous Leadership
  • BSB41915 Certificate IV in Business (Governance)
  • 52776WA Certificate IV in Leadership and Mentoring

Non-Accredited Training

These courses and programs are fully-funded by the partner organisation, but content is the responsibility of the AILC. These courses are delivered around high interest areas, but can be delivered in other locations. Delivery models are negotiable. Tailored Courses

The Australian Indigenous Leadership Centre (AILC) specialises in place-based education – achieving great success in delivering our accredited and tailored courses in locations across Australia. We design our courses and programs to suit the needs of organisations, regional groups or government agencies. Get in touch and discover what we can offer your organisation.

Private Fee for Service Positions: Inclusions will be negotiated.

Course Costs

If you are eligible for a position in one of our funded programs, your position may be funded by The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

The funded position covers:

  • The cost of the course and materials
  • Morning and Afternoon Tea
